Ekantika’s heart hammered against her ribs as she pushed open the door. The room was thick with silence, broken only by the rhythmic rise and fall of Adishesh’s chest as he lay on the bed, his back to her.
She knew he was angry ever since she had withdrawn from his touch. She understood his innocence mind was demanding what he has seen and learnt from his brother. But she couldn’t shake the feeling of wrongness, of a sin she was committing with every touch.
